UAS just completed asbestos and lead abatement work at our home in San Pedro that will soon undergo a major renovation. I dealt with Mark Newton from the first contact for a bid through the completion of the work today. He identified discrepancies in the independent testing company's survey report that needed to be corrected before the report could be submitted to the SCAQMD. Once the report was corrected, he scheduled the work promptly, and despite the discovery of additional asbestos contamination that was omitted from the testing report (an omission acknowledged by the testing company), UAS completed the work on schedule. It's not always possible to judge the quality of a company when things go smoothly, It's when they don't go as planned that a good company shines. I recommend Universal Abatement Systems to prospective clients without reservation.

We have had an apartment in Leisure World for 4 years now and my wife could not stand the popcorn ceilings. Onwe recently decided to bite the bullet and get it removed. Since the places were built in the 60s, it tested positive for asbestos. Mark and the team came in and in one day had the popcorn removed and left the place immaculate. While we still had to have the painters come in and texture/paint the ceilings - Universal made getting rid of the popcorn safe and easy. Also, their price was reasonable compared to others.
